The Sunshine Coast Series is stylistically influenced by the retro travel poster! I’ve created graphic inspired digital art capturing my local travel experiences throughout Coolum Beach and the surrounding Sunshine Coast region of Queensland. “Coolum Beach” is the first illustration of the series! Captured is the main beach heading south towards the centre of town in the morning hours. The town with a population of 8,500 and locality take their name from this beach. The laid-back atmosphere of Coolum Beach makes it quite unique and its wild natural beauty and consistent waves are the perfect break for surfers. Coolum has a proud surf club culture and lifesavers have patrolled the waters since 1919.
